Because I didn't completely read the user guide, my initial config had a 4-digit grid locator (although my account info entry had all 6).
The setup says to enter a 6-digit locator, but also says that a "normal" message will only send 4 digits, and that forcing a 6-digit locator is reserved for "special" needs.
However, examining the database, I see that most entries had 6-digit locators, while mine were always shown as 4 digits. When I updated my config to 6 digits, new database entries for my call started showing 6 digits.
What's the scoop here? Is the encoder clever enough to send all 6 digits if they'll fit in a normal message?
