Please Explain the Map

What is the purpose of the map?? Yesterday I ran a half watt for 12 hours. The map showed about 26 calls connected to me NR5A. I was told nooneheard me, and the database shows nothing?? I'm confused, someone please explain this to me. Yet when I switched to QRSS I showed up on a bunch of Grabbers.
