WSPR Lite hookup question

Lets say I want to hook up the SB WSPRlite to my 20 meter antenna. Do I need to run the antenna tuner on the freq I plan to use, then hook up the SOTA beam lite?
It seems like I need to match up the antenna to the Lite first. Or is necessary?
