WSPR might help find missing Malayasian Airlines flight MH370?

I read an article in the mainstream media about new information regarding the flight of MH370. Over the years I've seen articles claiming "new" information, but they were just rehashing old info or were simply wild speculation. But this new article mentioned "WSPR". It seemed dubious because they kept referring to WSPR as a network of "tripwires" compared to "lasers around a bank vault". The article also seemed to imply that this Richard Godfrey guy was claiming to have invented WSPR for the sole purpose of tracking airplanes.

But after reading MR Godfrey's actual paper I am very impressed. Big thanks to VK3PD for posting a link to the actual paper, I wasn't able to find a link to it in mainstream media. Here it is: https://www.dropbox.com/s/w43gu64vn7jvmxm/Using%20the%20WSPRnet%20and%20...

I have followed reports of flight MH370 avidly since it disappeared, it is exciting to think that WSPR might play a part in finally solving the mystery.
