Can consideration be given to making the legend's visibility a persistent toggle-type option?

I find that it obscures a lot of the map when viewing it on my laptop. I can temporarily remove it using the "Nuke Everything" browser add-on for Firefox and Chrome, but the legend returns every time the map is refreshed or reloaded.

ETA: Just to clarify, the legend appears when I select "Use Band Colors"
