I have sucessfully managed to get my yaesu ft847 hooked up to my computer the only bit of extra hardware built was inserting a NPN transistor diode and a couple of resistors into the db9 shell ( on my computer my DTR line goes high during transmission wheras the mic push to talk line has to be grounded on the FT847 ) I have not yet tried the cat interface so set the frequencies manually

I am receiving plenty stations especially on 30m but no other station so far reports hearing me, The tx definately keys up ok and a tone is being transmitted ( verified by listening on another SW set ) so far I have only used the recommended tx frequency 10.140200 however I notice the stations I am receiving are on other frequencies
can anyone elaborate on what frequency to set the transmitter to ?
