Dear all,
My stint in Lashkar Gah, Helmand has come to an end. I must pull down my antenna and pack the transceivers for travel back to Kabul. I did not particularly want to go but my HQ have requested that I take up a central role in Kabul. The vertical R-6000 comes down tomorrow but the ZEPP will stay up - I will only remove the 450 ohm balanced line to take with me.
I have had some great times on the wireless here from 160m up to 70cms EME. The only band without a WSPR contact has been 12m, maybe I should leave the station on the ZEPP all day and night on 12m.
Cheers and 73s from Lashkar Gah
Back on in Kabul with a new grid soon.
