The Weak Signal Propagation Reporter Network is a group of amateur radio operators using K1JT's MEPT_JT digital mode to probe radio frequency propagation conditions using very low power (QRP/QRPp) transmissions. The software is open source, and the data collected are available to the public through this site.

Wondering if anyone has played with WSPR in the ELF ranges? Seems like this would be a way to really accomplish the long awaited trans-atlantic QSO!

Just reporting that the Prop Map function seem to hang on IE 6 (yes, I should upgrade but I am can not due to other apps that will not work on IE7. Prop Map works fine on latest version of Firefox.

I must be doing something dumb. Just loaded the 1_r972 version and no decodes appear on the main screen yet everything else looks normal including decodes in all_MEPT.txt file. Any one else run into this issue?

i tried to upload the all.txt from version 7.0
and got for each record an upload error.
did the log-format change ?

I am a newbee to WSPR. 3 hours, I think!
In WSPR 1.0 you can tell the program what the frequencies you wish to use are. In WSJT7 you can't .. are they fixed by choosing the band?
Next, in 1.0 you can give it a % to transmit. in WSJT7 you can't .. at least I havn't found it if you can. Is it fixed? Random?
Thanks in advance.

Starting from july 27th, I will be travelling with a group from the astronomy club of Orsay (France) from Ulaan-Baatar to the Altaï mountains to watch the total solar eclipse of august 1st, 2008.

I should be QRV from JT land during the trip through the Gobi desert and from the eclipse camp with the following callsign:

JT1EPY Ulaanbaatar
JT1EPY/6 Uvur-Hangai province
JT1EPY/8 Gobi-Altai province
JT1EPY/0 Khovd province

(Thank you again to Khos JT1CD, Secretary of the MARS)

I found WSPR 1.0 and WSJT7 with WSPR QSO mode today on Joe's (K1JT) site. I already downloaded them and installed both programs. So far they are running well.

So: Where to place WSPR QSO frequencies in the bands ?? We should *NOT* use the WSPR beacon frequencies !!!
I have no idea (for the moment) if appropriate 200 .. 400 Hz (Yes Hertz) segments above or below the WSPR frequencies are available ?!?

So comments please ...

I've moved the server on which resides. Please let me know if you notice any issues which might be a result of the move.

I also cleaned a bunch of bogus spots out of the database earlier today. I know there are a few more bad spots, but not thousands!

There have been a few threads on antennas, but I think it's important to provide more than that. An equipment baseline can give the amateur receiving the spot a lot more information about just how strong/good the propagation was, and how effective changes on their end are. There is certainly a difference in being received at low power over any distance by a person with a 100FT tower and tribander than the fellow with the 33' long wire.

At M0DUO I am using the following on WSPR:

On the 16th of June I noticed some instability on my MSF time locking system on my MEPT on 10.140073MHz. I thought I sorted it but yesterday there were no Spots. I was busy and only popped in the shack to change bands etc.
A further check today revealed that whilst there was no instability there was no sync either and hence the WSPR was off on timing.

Apologies for this. It is now back on test with a slight modification, please check for Spots of the WSPR.
Reports/Captures are welcome of the Graphical modes also.
